The Apple introduced 5th generation of its Full Size iPad on Tuesday, calling it iPad Air. This new contribution bumps up the performance and speed. Apple packs A7 processor making it faster than ever before. The new iPad Air sports 9.7 inch Retina Display, and there’s a smaller bezel around the display, 43% thinner than its predecessor. According to the Apple, the new iPad Air is 20% thinner than the 4th generation model.
During the Apple’s media event, Phil Schiller (senior vice-president of worldwide marketing) called it, ‘’The lightest full size tablet in the whole world.’’
The iPad Air includes the latest 64 bit chip that was seen in iPhone 5S, along with a same M7 coprocessor. The Apple says these new processors bump up the graphical performance and speed as well. One thing which attracts me is its battery life as it can run up to 10 hours with a single charge. Although, this new tablet does not have a Touch ID technology first seen in iPhone 5S.
Both LTE and Wi-Fi models of this iPad Air will be on shipping since November 1 in the 42 countries. it’ll be the first tablet release ever where the China will be involved in the 1st round of rollouts (however, the customers in the Hong Kong, Macao, and China will order only Wi-Fi models).
